Integration: Connecting Trakstar Learn and GoToWebinar

The GoToWebinar integration allows you to synchronize webinar registrations and attendance between GoToWebinar and Trakstar Learn. When Trainees are enrolled in a course containing a configured webinar module, they are automatically registered for the corresponding GoToWebinar session. Attendance is then synchronized back to Trakstar Learn to help track course completion.

Before You Begin

Before configuring the integration:

  • Ensure you have a GoToWebinar account with permission to create and manage webinars.
  • Contact the Trakstar Learn team to enable the integration for your account if it has not already been configured.

Step 1: Create a Webinar in GoToWebinar

  1. Sign in to GoToWebinar.
  2. Create a new webinar.
  3. Enable attendee registration for the webinar, if required by your organization's configuration.

Step 2: Copy the Webinar Identifier

  1. Open the webinar you created.
  2. Locate the webinar's unique identifier (Webinar ID or Webinar Key, depending on your GoToWebinar configuration).
  3. Copy the identifier.

Step 3: Configure the Webinar Module in Trakstar Learn

  1. Sign in to Trakstar Learn.
  2. Create a new In-Person module or edit an existing one.
  3. Enter the GoToWebinar identifier in the Custom Info field.
  4. Save the module.

Step 4: Add the Module to a Course

  1. Add the configured module to the appropriate course.
  2. Enroll or invite Trainees to the course.

Once Trainees are enrolled, they are automatically registered for the associated GoToWebinar session. After the webinar concludes, attendance information is synchronized back to Trakstar Learn and can be used to determine completion based on your attendance requirements.
