Integration: Connect BambooHR to Trakstar Learn

The Trakstar Learn integration with BambooHR allows you to automate adding, updating, archiving, and rehiring employees in Learn using BambooHR as your source of truth. Once the integration is in place, any changes made in BambooHR will automatically sync to Trakstar Learn as changes are made in BambooHR.

The following fields of data will be created and updated when an employee is hired or updated in BambooHR:

  • First Name*
  • Last Name*
  • Email Address*
  • Status – Terminated/Active
  • external_id*

* denotes a required field

In addition to the above, the following fields of data can also be pulled over from BambooHR as custom fields in Learn to help you segment your employees:

  • Job Title**
  • Division**
  • Department**
  • Pay Group**
  • Location**
  • flsa_exemption status**

To use this integration, you must have at least one available custom field to populate the external_id data from BambooHR, and additional available custom fields for any of the above six optional fields.

**Using one of the above 6 optional fields, we can automatically add your employees to groups in Learn to help you assign courses automatically. For example – If you choose Department, you will specify a group for each department in your organization. All new hires will be automatically added to the appropriate group, allowing them access to the courses attached.
