Integration: Connect TalentReef to Trakstar Learn

This article explains how the TalentReef → Trakstar Learn integration works, what it’s best used for, and key considerations before enabling it.

🧠 Overview

The TalentReef integration brings newly completed employees into Trakstar Learn. It can automatically create users, assign them to groups, and even invite them to specific training courses.

This is a lightweight solution focused on reducing manual effort around new user setup in Learn.

✅ Use Case

This integration is a good fit for organizations that:

- Use both TalentReef and Trakstar Learn

- Want new hires to have immediate access to required training

- Are looking to automate user and course setup, but not manage full lifecycle

- Operate in high-churn industries like QSR, retail, or hospitality, where onboarding speed matters

🚫 What This Integration Does Not Do

The TalentReef integration does not support:

- Archiving or deactivating users

- Creating groups or courses in Learn — those must exist beforehand

- Complex assignment logic — mapping must be manually defined, and IDs provided

Customers will still need to manage course content and group structures in Learn manually.

💡 How It Works

Once enabled:

- Completed new hires in TalentReef are automatically added to Trakstar Learn as users

- Users can be assigned to existing groups

- Course assignments can be configured to trigger automatically

This ensures your new hires get the right training without waiting for manual setup.

Before enabling this integration, ask:

Is TalentReef your primary system of record for employee data?

If you're using an HRIS or payroll system (like ADP, UKG, or Paylocity), a broader integration may offer more automation — including user updates, deactivations, and deeper workflows.
