Integration: Connect TalentReef to Trakstar Learn

The Trakstar Learn integration with TalentReef allows you to automatically synchronize employee records from TalentReef to Trakstar Learn. Once configured, new hires and employee updates are transferred automatically, helping reduce manual administration and ensuring learners have timely access to required training.

How the Integration Works

After the integration is enabled:

  • New employees are automatically created in Trakstar Learn.
  • Existing employee information is updated automatically.
  • Inactive employees can be archived based on your integration configuration.
  • Employee records remain synchronized between TalentReef and Trakstar Learn through scheduled updates.

Required Employee Fields

The following fields are typically required for the integration:

Employee ID ✓
Email Address ✓

Important: Every employee must have a unique Employee ID. This value is used to match employee records between TalentReef and Trakstar Learn and should be mapped to a custom field in Learn.

Optional Employee Fields

Additional organizational fields can be synchronized to custom fields in Trakstar Learn to help organize learners and automate administration.

Examples include:

  • Department
  • Location
  • Business Unit
  • Job Title
  • Company

Automatically Assign Employees to Groups

One of the synchronized organizational fields can be used to assign employees to Groups in Trakstar Learn automatically.

For example, if you synchronize the Department field:

  1. Create a group in Trakstar Learn for each department.
  2. Map the Department field from TalentReef.
  3. During synchronization, employees are automatically assigned to the matching group.

Employees automatically receive any courses assigned to their groups, reducing the need for manual enrollment.

Get Started

To enable the TalentReef integration:

  1. Contact the Trakstar Learn team at learn@trakstar.com.
  2. An Integration Specialist will work with you to configure the connection between TalentReef and Trakstar Learn.
  3. After setup is complete, employee records will begin synchronizing automatically.
