How do I restrict my Trainers', Managers', Team Leads', and Reporters' view?
You can limit which users a Trainer, Manager, Team Lead, or Reporter can view by restricting their access to one or more Groups.
This allows non-administrator users to see and report only on the users assigned to the Groups you specify.
Note: Administrators cannot be restricted. They always have access to all users and content.
Before You Begin
Before you can restrict a user's access:
- The user must have one of the following roles:
- Trainer
- Manager
- Team Lead
- Reporter
- The groups you want to assign must already exist.
If you haven't created groups yet, create them before configuring user permissions.
Change a User's Role
If the user is not already assigned one of the supported roles:
- From the left navigation menu, click Users.
- Select the user you want to update.
- On the Information tab, click Edit.
- Change the user's role to Trainer, Manager, Team Lead, or Reporter.
- Click Save.
After saving, a new Permissions tab becomes available for that user.

Restrict Access to Specific Groups
- Open the user's profile.
- Select the Permissions tab.
- Click Edit.
- Under Permissions, select The following groups.
- Choose the group or groups the user should be able to access.
- Save your changes.
The user will only be able to view the users and reports associated with the selected groups.
