Publishing Articulate Storyline SCORM content
To ensure the best compatibility with Trakstar Learn, publish your Articulate Storyline 1 or Storyline 2 course using the recommended settings below. These settings help ensure learner progress and completion are tracked correctly. Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 courses are supported on the Trial, Premium, and Enterprise plans.
Step 1: Set the Story Size
Before publishing, configure the course size.
- Open your Storyline project.
- Select Story Size.
- Use Storyline's default dimensions.
Using the default story size helps your course display correctly across a variety of screen sizes and devices.
Step 2: Configure the Player
- Open Player.
- Select the Options section.
- (Optional) Enable Scale player to fill browser window.
This option allows the player to automatically resize based on the learner's browser window. While recommended, this setting is optional.
Step 3: Publish for an LMS
When you're ready to publish:
- Select Publish.
- Choose LMS as the publishing destination.
- Enable Include HTML5 output.
- Set the LMS standard to SCORM 1.2.
Step 4: Configure Reporting and Tracking
Before publishing, select Reporting and Tracking.
Reporting
On the Reporting tab:
- Set LMS Reporting to Passed/Failed.
Tracking
Choose the tracking method that matches your project.

Selecting the correct tracking method ensures Trakstar Learn accurately records learner completion.
Step 5: Publish the Course
After confirming your settings:
- Return to the main publishing window.
- Click Publish.
- When publishing is complete, create a .zip package of the published output.
The resulting .zip file is the package you'll upload to Trakstar Learn.
After publishing your Articulate Storyline course, upload the generated .zip package to your Trakstar Learn module.
Upload the Published Package
- Publish your Storyline course using the recommended LMS settings.
- Create or locate the published .zip file.
- Open Trakstar Learn.
- Upload the .zip file as your module content.
The uploaded .zip package is the version learners will launch within Trakstar Learn.
