Create an In Person Module
With an In Person module, you can track attendance and progress within Learn for external training - such as live lectures, in-person seminars, or third-party courses.
In Person, modules are only used to keep track of your trainees' attendance and scores (if applicable) and do not house any learning content.
Creating an In Person Module
From the left navigation bar, click on Modules, then Create Module from the top right corner.
Select In Person, then click Create.
From the Manage tab of the module, you can enter the Module Name and Description. You can also add handouts - such as links or PDF documents - for your trainees to download or view from their dashboards. Under Module Settings, you can enable scoring and set the minimum passing score.
Click Save when you have added all of your information and details.
Add the Module to a Course
Once your module has been created, you'll want to add it to a course. Navigate to Courses > Create Course.
Add the relevant details under the Manage tab, including the Course Name, Course Description, and Trainer Information. Click Save, then navigate to the Modules tab.
From here, click on Add Modules and locate your In Person module. You can also include other module types in this course - including On Demand or File Transfer!
Enroll Trainees
Once the course has been created, you can enroll trainees via the course or the Users page.
Note: If the course only consists of an in person module, the invited trainees will not receive a course invitation email, but they can access any handouts from their trainee dashboard. If the course includes in person and on-demand modules, the trainees will receive a course invitation email.
Mark Trainees as Complete
Because an In Person module does not have an action to complete, an Administrator or Trainer needs to mark the course as complete for the trainee manually. This can be done on an individual basis or in bulk.
Individual: Select the course, then click on the Trainees tab. Click on the name of the trainee you'd like to mark as complete.
Under the Modules section, click Complete next to the module.
Bulk: Select the course, then click on the Modules tab. Click on the module name you'd like to mark as complete for the trainees.
This will display all of the trainees in the In-Person module. Select the users you want to mark as complete by checking the box to the left of their name, then click on Trainee Actions and select Complete from the drop-down menu.
If scoring is enabled for this module, you can enter a score when marking it as complete. When marking multiple trainees as complete simultaneously, the score selected will carry through to all of them
