What is SCORM?

SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. It is an industry standard for packaging and delivering eLearning content in learning management systems (LMSs).

SCORM packages allow eLearning courses to communicate with an LMS so learner activity (such as course completion, pass/fail status, and quiz results) can be tracked consistently across compatible platforms.

SCORM Support in Trakstar Learn

Trakstar Learn supports SCORM 1.2 and 2004 content created with the following authoring tools:

  • Adobe Captivate
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Articulate Rise

Other SCORM-compliant content may also work with Trakstar Learn. However, compatibility is not guaranteed, and some features or functionality may not behave as expected.

Publishing Requirements

When publishing content from Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline:

  • Publish the course using the SCORM 1.2 output option.
  • Export the published course as a .zip file before uploading it to Trakstar Learn.

Other publishing formats are not supported and will not function correctly in Trakstar Learn.
